Pink and Green

I love making baby quilts, they are so fast and so snuggly. For this quilt I used Lakehouse fabrics in pink and green from various collections.

I drew out what I had in mind on and went for it. I really like the way it turned out. I have been really wanting to do something with the pink and green polka dot on the pale pink background for a couple of years now. I have been trying to destash a bit, so I have held off buying any. This project gave me the perfect excuse to get a little extra-shhhh.

I quilted with a meandering stitch and incorporated lazy daisies every few inches. I took this quilt to show and tell at the store where I bought the fabric and she thought my machine must have a stitch regulator because the stitches are consistent. It doesn't, so I was really flattered. I really love quilting, it's funny, because I am no great artist, but something about "drawing" on the fabric really excites me, I love it!
The mom-to-be really liked it! Hope baby Audrey does as well!

Very cute! You do such great work, and your stitching is really amazing. I'm not surprised the lady at the quilt store thought you had a stitch regulator. You should see my stitches! They're all over the map. Love the quilt, and of course, I love pink and green together.

Jill I absolutely love love love that quilt. Those are the colors I used for Ainsleigh's room.
I am going to attempt to make a quilt this summer out of my favorite clothes of her 1st year. Maybe I can get really inspired and make something cool like that since I will be with my Nana all summer.
